Während eines seiner Englandbesuche entdeckte der Graf, ein scharfsinniger und neugieriger Reisender, Gin, ein Destillat, das hauptsächlich nach Wacholderbeeren schmeckt. Dies veranlasste ihn, Fosco Scarselli, den Barkeeper im Caffè Casoni in Florenz, zu bitten, den Gin anstelle von Soda zu verwenden, was zur Entstehung des berühmten Negroni führte. Der Gin verleiht einen blumigen und alkoholischen Geschmack, der Bitter bringt eine starke Zitrus-Bitterkeit ein, und der rote Wermut sorgt für eine krautige Süße, wodurch dieses kurze Getränk durch seine Harmonie aus Süße, Bitterkeit und Alkoholstärke besticht. UK orders placed before 4pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are dispatched on the following working day.
