Grey Market Retailers

There is an old adage that states: if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

This is particularly relevant to the watch industry, where some retailers sell watches outside a brand's authorised distribution network. These sellers are commonly referred to as grey-market retailers.

The following online sellers are classified by WatchNation as grey-market retailers for the purposes of its price-matching policy:

JomaShop

CreationWatches

City Watches UK

WatchesZon

Best Quality Watches

E-Global Central

WatchNation will not price match against any retailer classified as a grey-market seller.

Wenger Manufacturer Warranty

Enjoy added peace of mind with the official Wenger 3-year manufacturer warranty supplied with eligible Wenger watches. Wenger is a Swiss watch brand known for combining practical functionality with contemporary design and Swiss watchmaking. When purchased from an authorised Wenger retailer, a qualifying timepiece benefits from manufacturer warranty protection in accordance with the brand's terms and conditions.

Wenger's international warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship arising during normal use within the applicable warranty period. Depending on the circumstances, Wenger may repair the watch or replace it with an identical or equivalent model, subject to the official warranty conditions. Proof of purchase or a properly completed warranty card may be required when making a claim.

The Risks of Grey Market Sellers

Purchasing a watch from a grey-market seller may appear attractive because of lower prices, but it is important to understand the differences in warranty protection and after-sales support. Wenger's international warranty states that its manufacturer coverage applies to watches purchased from authorised Wenger retailers. Here are some important considerations:

Manufacturer Warranty Eligibility: Wenger's official warranty is subject to specific eligibility requirements, including purchase from an authorised retailer. Buying from a seller outside the authorised distribution network may affect eligibility for the manufacturer's warranty.

Unauthorised Repairs: Wenger specifies that warranty repairs must be carried out by an approved Wenger service centre. Damage caused by an unauthorised repair centre is excluded from the manufacturer's warranty, so it is important to use the appropriate service channel.

After-Sales Support: Warranty claims and repair arrangements can vary depending on the seller and the available support channels. Purchasing from an authorised retailer can help provide a clearer route for warranty enquiries and assistance when a watch requires attention.

The Benefits of Buying from WatchNation

WatchNation offers a selection of Wenger watches, giving customers access to Swiss-designed timepieces suited to different styles and occasions. Customers can explore the available range while receiving assistance from our customer service team with product enquiries, orders and after-sales questions.

Should your Wenger watch require attention, our team can help explain the relevant warranty procedure and guide you through the next steps. Keep your proof of purchase and warranty documentation safe, as these may be required when requesting manufacturer support. Purchasing from an authorised Wenger retailer ensures that the watch meets the brand's stated eligibility requirements for its official manufacturer warranty.
