The Squale 1521 1521DLCBK.MEPVD20 is a striking professional dive watch that blends Swiss engineering, vintage diving heritage and a stealth-inspired modern aesthetic. Part of Squale’s most iconic collection, the 1521 takes its name from the original case reference developed by Charles Von Büren during the golden age of underwater exploration. Decades later, it remains one of the brand’s most recognisable and respected designs.
Crafted from 316L stainless steel with a black DLC coating, the 42mm case delivers exceptional durability while giving the watch a bold tactical appearance. The signature screw-down crown at four o’clock is a defining Squale feature, designed to improve comfort on the wrist while reducing the risk of accidental impacts during a dive. A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial and ensures excellent visibility in all conditions.
The matte black dial is purpose-built for maximum legibility, featuring luminous Super-LumiNova markers and hands that remain highly visible in low-light environments. Contrasting orange detailing adds a distinctive touch while enhancing readability underwater. Framing the dial is a unidirectional 120-click bezel with a black aluminium insert, allowing precise dive-time measurement with confidence and security.
Powering the watch is the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré automatic movement. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 38 hours of power reserve, it delivers dependable performance for everyday wear and demanding underwater use alike.
Completing the design is a black PVD-coated stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet, combining durability with vintage-inspired character. Comfortable, breathable and highly versatile, it perfectly complements the watch’s retro dive-watch heritage. UK orders placed before 4pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are dispatched on the following working day.
We are not open during UK bank holidays. Orders received on bank holidays will be dispatched promptly the next working day.

If Import Charges Are Not Paid
For DAP shipments, if local import charges, taxes, duties or courier fees are not paid, or if delivery is refused, the parcel may be returned to us.
In this case, we will refund your order minus:
- The original outbound shipping cost
- Any return shipping fees charged to us
- Any customs, duty, tax or clearance fees billed to us by the courier
